We have a new feature for Flow that now allows you to use data from another field in your filters and actions.
This is powerful for filters allowing you to compare the value of one field with another to decide if the filter passes. For example, you could use this to identify where the sale price of a product is less than or equal to the cost price.
It’s also really useful for actions. Staying with our product example above, we could fetch all products from selected suppliers/categories, and then update the sale price to be 25% higher than the cost price only where the cost price is greater than 0.
Another example is updating the product description to be made up of the product SKU, name and order code. Or storing the product ID in the SKU field.
There are many use cases for this feature and will help you get really creative with your flows.
We’re now working on adding new templates to showcase the most common use cases so keep an eye out on our templates page.
If you would like to discuss this feature in more detail with us, drop us an email or book in a call and we can go through what you are trying to achieve and even help you get the Flow setup.
